Easter :: Páscoa

Every year I look up for Easter: Spring is blooming everywhere and it brings me back good memories of egg hunting in Mediterranean gardens. Portuguese traditions call for sugar coated almonds and folar scented with anise and cinnamon: I miss these sweet treats, but I will content myself with the blooming trees, colourful flower beds and a good chocolate egg!

And speaking of chocolate I have got into the tradition of making flowery egg brooches. This year I made one with flowers and butterflies, thinking of thistle and the wild flowers that grow in the countryside.

The other addition to this year collection was rabbits. I had the idea for these little ones from the cute rabbits that hop around the beach in St. Andrews. They surely came out sweet and I really like how their tails pop out.

Have a great Easter time!
