Rose hips :: Frutos de roseira

Autumn has been showing its first signs for a while… there were berries everywhere and flowers became fruits in the trees. One of the things that caught my attention was the rosehips from wild roses. The ruby and orange tones shone in the light through the green leaves just like precious jewels. It made complete sense to make it my theme for the monthly challenge!

I started by working on the colour… I wanted to capture the different hues of red and orange and I did that with a simple skinner blend. From that I ended up with a whole new series of jewelry and I am especially proud of the drop earrings. The beads reflect the different tones and the small green leaves fit gracefully in the whole set.
