Lighthouses :: Faróis

Summer seems to have taken a holiday away from Scotland: it keeps raining everyday with the occasional break for fog. However, one of these days in the afternoon the sun has come out from between the clouds and the shoreline has become a perfect place.

Saint Andrews seaside is beautiful… the rocks meeting the green fields, the variety of birds that seek refuge on the beaches, the castle by the sea… and yet I do miss the sight of a lighthouse. I have always been fond of these elegant structures that guide boats through the night. There’s something comforting about their light, even when they stand in rocky capes or in the harshness of the sea.

So it came to me that I could actually place a lighthouse in Saint Andrews – a tiny one anyway. I hope you like it!

(By the way, if you want your own lighthouse they are available at the shop)
